BIO
Stony Brook University MFA alum Howard Gunston writes fiction and creative nonfiction, hosts an original podcast on the craft of writing, WRITERS comma ICE CREAM, and teaches at Suffolk County Community College. He's been published by journals such as Blue Monday Review, Ricky's Back Yard, and TSR: The Southampton Review. "Full Stop," an experimental piece of flash fiction, was shortlisted for the 2016 Ice-Nine writing contest.
Howard and his husband live on Long Island, New York, where they are occasionally granted couch time by their rescue dogs.

Education
Grad & Undergrad
A Seawolf two times over, Howard first graduated from Stony Brook University with a Master of Arts in English and then returned for a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing and Literature. For his baccalaureate, he defected to the plains of South Dakota where he earned a Bachelor of Arts from Dakota Wesleyan University. While at DWU he double-majored in creative writing and theatre, minored in criminal justice, and graduated in the Corn Palace.
